A record year for Seven Kings GCSE students!

Following last week’s superb A-level results, pupils and teachers at Seven Kings High School are again celebrating today as the school achieved an outstanding set GCSE results, with pupils once again some superb individual results.

In total, 84% of Year 11 pupils achieved 5A* - C grades or above, including C grades for both Maths and English Language (the new performance measure that the government has introduced). This is a remarkable achievement and a best ever result for the school.

In total, 93% of students gained at least 5 A – C grades across all subjects (the traditional score for performance tables), continuing the tremendously high standard that has been achieved in recent years, results that have seen Seven Kings recognised as one of Britain’s top comprehensive schools for GCSE and A-level achievement.

The 5A* - G pass rate was 99%, maintaining a record that the school is very proud of, namely that nearly every student completes Year 11 with at least 5 GCSE successes to their name, a clear indication of the school’s commitment to inclusive education, and the strong learning and achievement culture at the school which motivates and supports all pupils to succeed to the best of their potential.

Student Achievement

Once again, there are a number of students who have gained outstanding results in their exams.
Pride of place goes to:
- Healson Ihouma who gained 12 A* grades, a best ever individual result at the school!
- Kishan Sudra (9A*, 2A grades)
- Budhon Choudhury (8A*, 3A grades)
- Shweta Upadhyaya (8A*, 3A grades)
- Kieran Ramdany (8A*, 3A grades)
- Mayuri Pandya (7 A*, 4 A grades)

Many other pupils gained top grades in all subjects and there was understandable delight when the results where given out this morning.

New Seven Kings Headteacher Tracy Smith was understandably pleased with the results and said “My colleagues and I are absolutely delighted with these magnificent results. They are a testimony to the excellence and dedication of the teaching staff, and the determination and hard work of our wonderful students. To achieve such high levels of success year on year is a reflection of the school’s continuing commitment to excellence for all our pupils and reflects our view that there is no ceiling on achievement.”
